Randy Hines is a Manager at AXIA Resources with seven years experience in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Manufacturing industries. Randy has provided a wide range of Technology Risk/Internal Controls services to clients that include IT SOX implementations, as well as internal controls, general IT consulting and risk management.

Since joining AXIA, Randy has documented and tested general computer controls and business processes as part of SOX compliance, developed new controls for key IT and business processes and trained IT employees on IT audit principles and control performance. He has tested information system change control processes as well as system development life cycle processes for corporate systems. Randy consistently works closely with IT management, SOX compliance management and external auditors.

Prior to joining AXIA Resources, Randy worked at Valero Energy Corporation as an IT Audit Specialist. While at Valero, he performed information system and compliance audits, co-led the revision of the existing information system controls framework and tested controls for all US corporate and Canadian operations systems for SOX compliance purposes. Randy began his career at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant in the Enterprise Risk Services group.

Randy earned a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
